AAL Forum 2010

The Ambient Assisted Living Forum – AAL Forum – is an annual international conference under the Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme (AAL JP). The conference serves as an information and discussion platform for stakeholders, scientists and users in Europe. .

AAL JP is a European programme. The main objective of the programme is to improve the quality of life for elderly citizens through the development of age-sensitive ICT (Information and Communication Technologies). .

The AAL programme focuses on the individual citizen and sees the citizen as an active and independent person. .

AAL Forum 2010 will take place in Odense, Denmark. The Forum provides an international platform for discussions about future challenges and possibilities within AAL in Europe. Exhibitions will present companies, institutions and AAL projects and provide an opportunity for “hands-on” experience with existing and future technologies. .

An AAL Investment Forum will be held in conjunction with the conference. The Investment Forum provides an opportunity for public and private investors to meet with the most innovative technology providers to discuss solutions and funding. There will be presentations on investment trends across Europe and successful business models..

AAL JP was established in September 2007 and is a transnational European initiative, designed by 23 European countries. The goal is to develop information and communication technologies and services for assistance within the member-state driven R&D programme. .

AAL Forum 2010 is the result of close collaboration between the Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme, the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, the Municipality of Odense and the Region of Southern Denmark.
