Ageing is one of the main three challenges for the Europe 2020 policy. The role of ageing in the current European political arena is of such high prominence that it has been selected to be the first pilot development under the Innovation Partnership initiative.

The AAL JP brings together relevant expertise in market approach innovation to use technology to mitigate against the problem of ageing and to find new opportunities both for the society and industry.

The AAL Forum has established itself as Europe’s most prominent event related concerning innovation around active and healthy ageing.
