The partners in the “24/7 Care and Wellness Centre Tilburg” project are the municipality of Tilburg, Amarant, Thebe, de Wever, RIBW and wellness umbrella organisation Twern.
Constant help at hand
The project partners would like to offer existing care and wellness services to the general public by linking all services together. Their aim is to establish 24/7 support, backed by the existing physical care and wellness services in Tilburg. In other words, a virtual addition, using popular telematics and ICT, to the physical infrastructure in the Service Neighbourhoods. A client's question is answered by more than just one of the partnership partners. The aim is to involve increasingly more organisations with their care and wellness package through a growth scenario. In future, this will provide residents of Tilburg with a wide variety of online services that support and facilitate independent and social living.
Initially, the project is (temporarily) limited to evening, night and weekend care with the intention to better regulate and coordinate the out-of-hours care and make it more client-oriented. The network guarantees that clients’ questions are directed to the correct organisation and that they receive an appropriate response within the agreed time. Initially, the project will be tested in one neighbourhood. This pilot scheme will provide an insight into what is required to easily answer clients’ question. The use of domotica applications and telenursing are important components in this scheme.
Key features
• Essence of the project: the partners would like to offer the existing care and wellness services to the general public by linking all services together.
• This project will enable support on demand where an appropriate technical infrastructure will be developed for the entire city based on the organisation of the neighbourhoods.
• Ultimately, the residents of Tilburg will have a wide range of virtual support available, linked to existing care and wellness services.
• Strength of this project: the existing care centres form a team and expand the area of care. A point of contact and, if required, assistance is always available for residents. This service contributes to the Tilburg Housing Service concept which focuses on the quality of (independent) living where the residents are in charge.
