About the Bay Zoltán Foundation for Applied research

The Bay Zoltán Foundation for Applied Research (BZAKA) is the largest and most successful non-profit applied research organization in Hungary. The mission of the Foundation is to enhance the effectiveness and position of Hungarian companies via innovation and technology transfer. This mission is accomplished through the many successes and hard work of the various research and development projects the six institutes undertake.

About the Institute for Applied Telecommunication Technologies

The Institute for Applied Telecommunication Technologies (IKTI) ' one of the six institutes ' provides solutions and solves the complex scientific/engineering problems facing its partner domestic and international companies ('the costumers'), helping them to be more profitable for the future. It means that the foundation acts the part of a bridge between research institutes and enterprises.

The aim of IKTI is to develop and adapt technologies, subsequently transferring them with added value. A further important task is to train researchers who will be capable of fulfilling the new expectations set by the globalising market and R&D, through supplementing the Ph.D. courses of universities. BZAKA-IKTI is particularly interested in contributing to the development and integration of support strategies in the field of the upcoming European challenge of sustainable ICT solutions.
