We will try to establish a natural speech communication between elder people and a robot based on the open source speech recognition simon and a robotplatform of Metralabs. This is an ECHORD Project between "simon listens" a non profit research organization and the ARTS Lab of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy

The panel must have finished in the mean time. So let me mention another interesting project that we could present: CompanionAble. This IP is more than 2 years underway of the in total 4 years. We aim at integrating a social robot with a smart home environment. The nice thing is that one can take both advantages from the fixed and mobile smart environment. The Care-o-bot is indeed an interesting project. If you want to know more about it, visit http://www.care-o-bot.de/; this is a webpage of the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation. On the webpage you will find additional information including brochures, pictures and videos.

What information do you need about WiMiCare? Maybe I can help...

Just heard a presentation in Berlin at the the German Federal Ministrys' Future of Services conference , where the Care-O-Bot. It was shown in German news last night -. Raises a lot of questions about time to market, ethical issues, how it can be adapted to real life settings. See more information here: http://www.wimi-care.de/index.html .

Could be a possible candidate for a presentation. Does anybody have more information about this project. ???
