Hi,

We're actually looking for research centre or social or medico-social partners for the AAL 2010 call.

My SME, Ev@soc[1], is a French multi-member cooperative society recognized by the authorities has aimed by a collective social interest. We built in 2004 a web application called in French: “Dossier Individuel Informatisé Interactif de la personne accueillie ou accompagnée®” with the “D3i®” acronym. In English, it means “the individual, computerized and interactive file” of the accompanied person in social or medico-social establishments. It's used in France by more than hundred establishments and recognized as one of the more powerfool dedicated tool for this kind of establishments.

Has recommended in 2007[i] by the French general social action authority[2], the administrative file, the medical file with the nurses care instructions, and all the documents related to the educational accompaniment, paramedical situation or juridical situation of the person are a part of the actual D3i. It is actually accessible to the all the team in charge, with different type of accesses.

On the base of the French social legislation[3] and the French health legislation[4], we have the project to open the D3i to the users, and more specificly, to the elderly persons, to replace them in the centre of their social or medico-social route, in order to help them to recover the same rights than all the general population and to get involved directly in their course of care. This will contribute to enable older handicapped people to preserve and enhance independence and dignity in their daily life, take an active part in the self-serve society by having an ICT Tool, giving them the opportunity to follow their daily life, health file, social and administrative files, which will stimulate and support their capacities.

For the French side of our project, we will study the adaptation of the user's interface, to the elderly mental handicaped persons.

Therefore, we are looking for partners who will be interested to study the adaptation of our user's interface to other type of elderly persons.

If you're interested in this project, please contact me as soon as possible to this adress : timothy.perera@evasoc.com
