Event Description
CODATA, is the Committee on Data for Science and Technology, is an interdisciplinary Scientific Committee of the International Council for Science (ICSU). The Israel National committee decided today to organize on behalf of its parent organization a workshop on AAL interest data activities. The workshop is planned for 2012, but its organization will start soon.
It will be an International workshop where world recognized experts will be invited to deliver plenary lectures and all participants will be active in parallel sessions.
After formal approval of the International CODATA committee (www.codata.org) I shall also apply to AAL Forum to take formal part.
Meanwhile interested individuals are welcome to contact me on this issue.

This workshop is under organization. Final dates are not yet defined, but it will take place during 4 days in February or March 2013.
Activity will be done under the following Working Groups:
- 1. From Data Processing to Well Being
- a. Includes information from care givers and medical staff as well as from social science experts about what should be measured (what is the real need), independent from current sensor technology.
- b. Includes Building Service Science & Robotics
- 2. Data Collection of Cognitive and Behavioral Data for Prevention of Cognitive Decline
- Includes discussion about sensor and other devices from the technological point of view
- 3. Mathematical methods of data analysis.
- 4. Change prediction and trend identification
- 5. Ethical and Regulatory aspects
The International Organizing Committee welcomes interested individuals to join worksop preparation (most done using email communication) and will be summarized on the meeting).
